THE AGE OF LITERACY

The International Literacy Association (formerly the International Reading Association) has declared April 14th Leaders for Literacy Day. Here is some of the information about the day's events:

We’re hosting a panel in New York titled, “Literacy for All: Accelerating Outcomes Through Collective Impact." The panel will examine what is required to motivate action and accelerate literacy outcomes.

We’re asking literacy leaders to take part in this dialogue by writing about this topic on their blogs and/or tweeting/posting to social media channels using the hashtag #AgeOfLiteracy.

In addition, we’re hosting some hour-long open Twitter conversations earlier in the day, organized around the hashtag #AgeOfLiteracy. The first focuses on ways to engage students; it takes place from 12-1 PM ET.
