Power point from USM

Karin Perry and I spoke to a packed room this morning at the Kaigler Book Festival in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, about the power of picture books. We included references to CCSS Standards along the way to demonstrate that rigor and complexity do not preclude picture books and to show how curricular needs can be met with shorter readings and "lessons" if necessary. One of these days, Karin and I plan to do this as qa screencast with narration. But for now, enjoy the pictures!
