the time has come to make the annoucements....

ALA's live web cast is alfeady full (except for those of us who have the secret password (bwaa-ha-ha). So I will try to blog here and at the YALSA blog site as the awards are presented. There is a discernible buzz of electricity in the air already and not one announcement has been made. This is the time at ALA that we all love. It is what I imagine the Oscar ceremony to be like only with people I admire more that Brangelina, etc.

The chairs are on the platform and we are minutes from the start of this conference. Lights are dimming, music is coming up........
