Comment-ary
A friend pointed me to a discussion taking place in the comments of the Heavy Medal Blog (http://blogs.slj.com/heavymedal/2013/09/12/the-early-bird-gets-the-worm/). What is interesting to me is not just the discussion in the comments in and of itself, it is the fact that the sentence referred to in the comments had been expunged from the blog post already. The comments were, therefore, probably perplexing to those who came int he discussion after the removal of the sentence some found offensive.
I am not here to discuss the comment. Instead, I am concerned that, rather, the "offending" sentence was removed from the post after the fact. Additionally, there is nothing to indicate the removal of the sentence or an explanation of why the sentence was removed other than the author of the post indicating he was willing to remove the sentence in the comments section.
This troubles me.
