notes from the Habitrail dwellers
I managed to navigate across the river in Opryland (yes, there is a river and a river boat there under the biodome) and had a lovely dinner with Naomi Shihab Nye courtesy of HarperCollins and the lovely Patty Rosati. What a fabulous group of women assembled for dinner among the cascading waterfalls. Naomi is one of the women I most admire as a poet and as a person. She regaled us with stories and listened to ours as well. Now, it is off to bed for an early ALAN Breakfast where Naomi will awaken us with her words. Peace.

I love that you call it a Habitrail.

Sounds like an amazing conference.

Okay. That is one of my most favorite icons ever. You rule.

That sounds like such a fabulous dinner. I LOVE Naomi Shihab Nye, both for her own poems and for the books of poems she edits. I have Salting the Ocean and A Maze Me in my class library, and I can't keep them on the shelf.
