Rattled

Debut author Lisa Harrington provides fans of the mystery genre a satisfying read in RATTLED (Nimbus 2010). Reminiscent of Joan Lowery Nixon's mysteries from the 1980s, the story hinges on the new neighbors who move in across the street from Lydia and her older sister Jilly. Megan and Sam are about the same ages as Lydia and Jilly, so this should turn out to be a good summer. However, Mrs. Swicker is unfriendly and rebuffs all attempts by Lydia and her family to get better acquainted. Of course, there is a mystery to be solved, and Lydia is smack in the middle of all the danger. Tie this one to the RED BLAZER GIRLS series. <127>
