Checked in to the hotel mid afternoon and found time to squeeze in another book for the day. THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF WHY I HATE HER by Jennifer Richard Jacobson (Atheneum 2010) is the story of a teen who decides to head away for the summer and work at a resort in Maine. Nola just needs a break from the routine that has been part of her life since her sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Nola stayed by her sister, Song's side but now thinks she needs an identity other than the sister of the kid with cancer. Off she goes to wait tables. The summer is certainly one Nola could never have anticipated. She meets someone on the bus ride to Maine, someone who ends up as her bunk mate and best friend, but someone who might just have too many secrets.
