Brought this one home from the office yesterday. Love these short chapter books for those kids ready to progress a bit in their reading (not that I want them to leave picture books behind, mind you). I enjoy the antics of IVY and BEAN and here is their new adventure.

IVY AND BEAN: WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA? by Annie Barrows and Sophie Blackall ((chronicle 2010) features the impending science fair. The second grade class, after listening to some reports from the fifth graders, decides that they should examine global warming for their projects. Ogg go Ivy and Bean to try to design some way of ending global warming. Hilarity (and some good thinking) ensure. Their solution is unique. <547>

I have a few pages left in today;s #bookaday and hope to move on to my alternating Morris Finalists with re-reading of the Nonfiction finalists before ALAMW. And, if I could get in a couple of new ones, too, that would be great.
