My better half is a professional photographer who has returned to his love now that he is retired. I handed him the last two books with photos by Nic Bishop and I do not think I am getting them back. LIZARDS (Scholastic 2010) is a fascinating look at the variety of species out there in the lizard world. From the smallest to the largest to the venomous, they are all here in clear and crisp photos. The text is simple and straightforward and filled with lots of information. In short, this is a perfect nonfiction book for kids (and for retired better halves). <452>
