So, here is what I read today:
ART AND MAX by David Wiesner (Clarion 2010) is one of those picture books the NYT declared dead in an article earlier this week. If this is dead, we have nothing to fear (and we have nothing to fear anyhow, really). Arthur is painting portraits in the desert when Max comes along insisting he is also an artist. What happens next in this mostly textless book is sheer creative juices pouring from the pages. Get a copy. Share it with kids and teens and spouses. It is amazing. <436>
