greetings from ALA in New Orleans

We are the first major conference to hit the Big Easy since Katrina and the city is determined to show us all they are ready for business. Everyone at the hotels and restaurants constantly tell us how happy they are to have us here, thanking us for bringing our conference here despite all the negative news stories of late.

Had a lovely dinner with Listening Library and Full Cast Audio on Thursday night and breakfast this morning with Kate DiCamillo. Now it is on to the exhibits and then the Edwards Luncheon to hear Jacqueline Woodson. Busy day after that with Quick Picks meetings and a VOYA Board meeting as well.
