my Printz has come (and now gone)
The Printz Reception ROCKED! Never have I listened to such an array of speeches. And yet all of them held some common themes. The one that touched me the most had to do with the tremendous respect each of these authors has for teens. It came across loud and clear.

Here is Adam Rapp giving his presentation. He spoke first as he had a plane to catch.
He talked about the genesis of his award winning PUNKZILLA.

Here is Rick Yancey of THE MONSTRUMOLOGIST fame:

I was so busy tweeting lines from Deborah Heiligman's speech that I never got around to taking a photo. She had us laughing and crying, often within the same moments of her speech.

Here is John Barnes, author of TALES OF THE MADMAN UNDERGROUND.

Finally, Libba Bray gave the most intelligent, funny, touching, awesome speech. And her dress was FABULOUS, too:

It was so wonderful to have a reunion with the committee. Thanks to Cheryl, Connie, John, Jack, Sally, Priscille, Angela, Snow, Gillian, and Ann.

The Printz reception is my favorite part of Annual.

:-) Thanks for sharing the fun!
