who knows where the time goes?

I spent today alternating between reading a manuscript of a forthcoming book and writing the inaugural entry for a new column I have been invited to write by the new editors of ENGLISH IN TEXAS. The column is done (hurray) and emailed to the editors. I am about three quarters of the way through the manuscript. Hope to finish it this evening. One more deadline looms for this week, my audio review column for VOYA.

Tomorrow, we head to a colleague's house for our annual faculty picnic. Perhaps we can finish an audio on the drive there and back.
