reading with my ears today
It is wonderfully quiet here at this end of the President's Club at Newark airport. I head home shortly, but wanted to check email and post before the flight since I think a nap is on order once I get home. Yesterday's USBBY meeting was packed full of good discussion and ideas. And, of course, there is a ton of follow up work that needs to be done.
But today is all about listening to audiobooks. I have 5 on the iPod for my Audies judging. I might be able to finish one between here and Houston. Reading with my ears will be a good break for me, too. I can read with my eyes closed when I listen. And my Odyssey ears have not abandoned me. I still hear every sibilant hiss and belly rumble. With any luck, there will not be much of that on these finalists.
