dangerous reading

Beware! There be monsters and demons here. Laini Taylor's novel is actually 3 stories connected by a thin thread: young women in dangerous liaisons. While the cover seems to indicate a bit ore frivolity, these are dark tales: a young woman lured into the woods sucuumbing to her attraction to a being she knows will not bring good to her. A child possessed of a demon for 14 years, now freed but changed deeply. Graphics accompany and elaborate some of the story though, since this was an ARC, the art was not complete. Due in October from Scholastic (Arthur A. Levine), this might be something to offer fans of TWILIGHT who wish to move on in their reading about darkly dangerous relationships.
