peace, quiet, time, books

Before I call it a day here in Orlando, I had the chance to read a new ARC I picked up at ALA last week from Roaring Brook. DEAD CONNECTION by Charlie Price is a mystery wrapped up in a bit of some family drama plus some other nifty features. Multiple narrators tell of their lives and miseries. A teen consoles the dead in the cemetery. The caretaker's daughter challenges her father. A former police investigator deals with his alcohol addiction while two teens recently released from institutions try to stay straight and on their meds. Sounds like the perfect recipe for this shivery story that keeps you reading from beginning straight through to the end without stopping.
