professional reading

Read the rest of this book today. Will review it for VOYA, so not much to note here except that, in a perfect world, this would be the ideal way to work with students in schools. Instead of the mindless rote test stuff that is the core of the curriculum in so many schools (thanks to NCLB), the need to redefine and extend the definitions of what it means to be truly literate should be the focus.

Interestingly enough, the cover of this book graces at least one other professional book I have seen advertised recently. Hmmm............
