one weary Mouseketeer

It was another wonderful day in the land of Disney. YALSA All Committee Meeting was a place to hug friends like Joni Bodart and Mary Arnold and others. No one was at either of my committee tables, so I headed back to the hotel to meet my sister and niece for the afternoon. Tonight was a fantastic dinner with Candlewick Press and the lovely Sharon Hancock and Jenny and Liz and the other Candlewick folks. Also in attendance was our own Thunderchikin and luminaries of the YA field such as YALSA Prez Paula, Angie Benedetti, Kevin, Mary, Sarah Baltic from VOYA (and there is a funny story to tell about meeting her) and the guest of honor, Tobin Anderson, he of the Octavian Nothing fame. Dinner was fantastic, of course. However, it is always the conversations that are the real treat at these events. Tonight was no exception. Fireworks might have been exploding in the air outside the restaurant, but the discussion was just as breathtaking. Now I am back in the room and heading for bed shortly.
