Paradise
We arrived in St. Thomas around dinner time. Unfortunately, one of my bags is still sitting at the airport. With any luck it will arrive by lunchtime today. Hope so as it is the one with the toiletries. I thought we had solved the baggage problem from last year's trip, but it seems that this is basically the way this airline works or does not work. In any event, on the flight, I finished one of my Kindle selections and listened to an audio. And I managed to even read a few chapters in the forthcoming second volume in the Octavian Nothing saga.

I love Full Cast Audio's ODYSSEUS by Geraldine McCaughrean. The voices are incredible, especially powerful the voice of the Cyclops that rumbles and roars. Music helps transition from chapter to chapter and from one adventure to another as well as serve as a bridge between Odysseus at sea and his wife and son at home. McCaughrean's prose retelling is perfect for middle school: lots of gore and gruesome details without losing the story of Odysseus himself.
I will report on more later. For now, it is back to the balcony to watch the water and sky.
