going graphic

Stone Arch has a series of classic novels available in graphic novel format. They are greatly abridged with beautiful 4 color illustrations and enough of the story to introduce students to the longer work if that were one of the goals. Quite frankly, I would be just as happy to see some of the classics replaced with these versions. I read through GULLIVER'S TRAVELS in just about 10 minutes. Quick to read also was THE JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, DRACULA, and THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW.
