Artemis Fowl reenvisioned

It has been a while since I read an Artemis Fowl book. I do know his series is popular with intermediate and middle school kids, especially the boys. The graphic novel adaptation of the first book in the series works well for me as a refresher and would also function for an introduction to the book for a newcomer. Artemis, Butler, Holly, and the cast of characters human and other worldly are all here in graphic format. The drawings are rather cartoonish, emphasizing the humor and the danger in Artemis' activities. The clever 12 year old's exploits in this version are certain to win even more readers to Eoin Colfer's books.
