caution: do not read this one while hungry

I picked this book up yesterday at lunch. Good choice. Eating while reading, that is. DELICIOUS is the biography of artist Wayne Thiebaud. I will confess my ignorance about art outside of children's books, so this was a delightful find. The accessible text makes this not only a good read for all ages, it is also an excellent example of how information should be presented: interesting, informative, accessible. Each double page spread consists of a piece of Thiebaud's art along with a paragraph or two about his life that tends to refer to the art on the facing page. End papers are multi-colored. Other pages are brilliant reds with white text. This is a visual treat and an excellent biography.
