Philadelphia Freedom, I love ya

OK, so younger readers will not recognize the Elton John reference. Who cares? I am in Philly, baby, at ALA and in the meetings of the BEST. COMMITTEE.EVER., aka The Odyssey Committee. This group of people rock. They are all such careful listeners, both to audiobooks and to one another. So, when it is time to discuss the audiobooks we have listened to over the past several months, we are thoughtful and reflective. There are no egos here, and boy does that make spending an entire day locked in a room a lot easier (well that and 5 pounds of M and M's).

So, all I have to report tonight is that things appear to be going smoothly. The exhibits are open. Parties are going on. Philly is crawling with librarian types. All is well...
