for Melodye

As she deals with the evil contractors, Melodye has asked us to post our favorite Christmas ornaments and perhaps a story. So here is the photo of my new favorite ornament:

Yes, that would be Scout. He seems to like draping himself over select branches and peering out at us from the tree. Thankfully, he is not too heavy and has managed to perch nicely. No real stories to share right now. Yesterday was a hectic shopping day. The kids' gifts are wrapped and under Scout's tree. I have just the hubby left to do today. Since he had a lovely trip to the OC with me last week as an early gift, I just need to sneak in some gift certificates to his favorite places and I am good to go.

I hope to finish two books today and actually post about reading. Stay tuned.....

Here is one more photo of Scout. Here he investigates the box of Alaskan seafood sent by my friend Suzanne. He loved the box and the smell and tried to eat the empty shells from the crab. Right now he is gnawing on a tree branch while perched precariously near the top of the tree. No "silent nights" here, I suspect.
