you say you want a resolution, well you know, we all want to change the world
Anyone who knows me, knows I have a contrary nature. Back when I smoked, I would smoke extra cigarettes on the national no-smoking day. Take that, cancer! So, it should be no surprise that I do not do much in the way of New Year's resolutions. Last year, I had three words: write, laugh, move. Two out of three ain't bad. This year I resolve to laugh, praise, write and MOVE.

Last night was the night from motel hell here in Galveston. A family with, count em, FIVE children took the room next to ours. FIVE children, all apparently fed sugar and caffeine all day. I think I got a couple of hours of sleep in between the screaming. But there is no rain today and that is a good thing. We head off to a brunch and then back home (about 80 miles) to Rocky and Scout.

Happy New Year. May 2010 bring all my LJ and FB and Twitter friends much happiness and joy and contentment. Here is Scout looking glam for the new year.

Scout looks like Hedwig. (And I don't mean the owl.)

Happy New Year. Here's hoping we cross paths on one of those rare days when when you aren't rapdily moving from committee meeting to committee meeting (or panel or workshop).
