Finished listening to THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME. At first, I thought I had a defective CD as the narrator announced Chapter Two. It took me a few chapters to catch on that the chapters were all prime numbers, a fact that plays a role in this story. I can see why there was so much chatter on this book on the various listservs. It is well worth the time to read/listen to this remarkable story narrated by a teen with mild autism.

Began reading THE TEACHER'S FUNERAL by Richard Peck and am laughing uproariously. Peck is a master of humor and his take on the reaction of students to the sudden death of their not-so-beloved teacher is right on target. This is another winner for Peck.

So many books are piling up next to the computer and bed. Hope to have some nasty weather so I can find some time to read soon.
